Miguel Rios, a sophomore at Lehigh University, has been working tirelessly to pursue his passion for electrical engineering and business. The last semester was particularly challenging for Miguel, as he had to take 18 credit hours and manage several demanding courses. Among these, Physics was the most complex, and he had to put in a lot of effort to comprehend the concepts. As a result, he could not devote as much time to his other courses as he had hoped. However, he did not give up, and he combined some of his tasks and volunteer positions to make things easier.
Miguel is a proud member of the Christian Ministry, where he takes on the roles of treasurer and Bible study leader. His faith has been his anchor, and he finds comfort in the knowledge that God has a plan for him. Despite facing numerous challenges the previous semester, he has seen God’s work and found peace. Additionally, Miguel has been actively doing community service work, which has been incredibly rewarding. He has been volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club in his community, an activity he has wanted to do for a long time.
Finally, his schedule worked out this year, and he could spend quality time with the kids, participating in community service projects. He even helped at the Boys and Girls Club Halloween event, passing out candy and building spiderwebs. Miguel believes that preaching God’s word and setting an example for others is essential, and he would appreciate prayers for the students at Lehigh to have that opportunity.
Miguel hopes to find a suitable internship to apply for this summer, and we at the Chapelwood Foundation are incredibly proud to support him as one of our scholarship students. We admire his dedication to volunteering in his community, leading others to God through the Christian ministry, and his faith and resilience during a difficult semester. We wish Miguel all the best as he pursues his dreams of higher education, and we look forward to seeing what God has planned for him.
