Chapelwood Foundation Impact
The Chapelwood Foundation provided a grant which funded the cost to furnish a kitchen with standard appliances, dining area with table/chairs, den with standard furnishings, and living spaces with beds/bedding, storage cabinets, and nightstands.
Naomi’s Village Story
Naomi’s Village is a registered children’s home in Kenya.Its mission is to make a difference in orphans’ lives
so they can grow up to be adults who will change the world. This vision is guided by the African proverb,
“It takes a village to raise a child.” Naomi’s Village fundamentally believes that everyone’s help is needed
in their community to raise children who will become compassionate and courageous leaders in the future.
Naomi’s Village focuses on a holistic, research-based, and Kenyan-led approach to ensure that each child receives the nurturing care necessary to be a well-rounded individual. They strive to create an environment where children are free to dream big, believe they can become the best version of themselves, and make a difference in their community. The organization’s goal to end Kenya’s generational poverty crisis and systemic corruption speaks to the broader impact it aims to achieve in addressing societal challenges through empowering the younger generation.
The challenges faced by the children at Naomi’s Village include abandonment, terrorism, AIDS, natural
disasters, and domestic violence. These challenges may seem insurmountable, but Naomi’s Village is committed to offering prayer-filled plans for every child’s future, believing they are called to bring comfort and hope to their community’s orphaned and vulnerable children.
Partnership with the Chapelwood Foundation is a crucial element in the success of Naomi’s Village. The Foundation’s financial support has helped fund the construction of teen housing, enabled children to attend Cornerstone Preparatory Academy, provided furnishings for school computer labs, supported food distribution
during the COVID crisis, and furnished and equipped a new health center. The Chapelwood Foundation is deeply honored to have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of these children in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley through our collaboration with Naomi’s Village.
